Manas, 6 November 2025.
The International Forum on Cooperation, Cross-Border Trade, and Investment Interaction “Manas Expo – 2025” was held in the city of Manas, bringing together key partners to strengthen economic collaboration among Central Asian countries and beyond.
The event was organized by the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Jalal-Abad Region and the Regional Investment Council, with the support of the Secretariat of the Business and Investment Development Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Bakay Bank, and other national partners.
The forum gathered representatives of government agencies, international organizations, business associations, and entrepreneurs from the Kyrgyz Republic, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, China, and other countries.
Participants discussed ways to expand regional export potential, strengthen business ties, promote women’s and youth entrepreneurship, and introduce green and innovative solutions into business practices. The exhibition showcased projects and initiatives demonstrating the region’s investment opportunities.
The Head of the Region, Tilek Tekebaev, expressed gratitude to the participants and emphasized that the event serves as an important platform contributing to the development of not only the city of Manas but the entire Jalal-Abad Region:
— “Our main goal is to support entrepreneurship, open new production facilities, and strengthen interregional cooperation. Such events build trust between regions and elevate cooperation to the international level,” — said Tilek Tekebaev.
In her opening remarks, Alexandra Solovieva, UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic, stated:
— “Ensuring sustainable economic growth requires not only investments but also strong partnerships. By supporting national and regional capacities, we are together creating a foundation for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, expanding export opportunities, and improving people’s well-being.”
Myktybek Osmonaliev, Coordinator of the Secretariats of Regional Investment Councils for the southern regions, emphasized the importance of public–private dialogue in advancing investment in the country:
— “Regional Investment Councils have become an effective tool for promoting reforms and supporting small and medium enterprises. Through them, business has a voice and government receives valuable feedback. Such dialogue helps shape practical support measures — from simplifying procedures and improving infrastructure to attracting investments.”
The “Manas Expo – 2025” forum marked another step toward strengthening regional investment dialogue and developing the economic potential of the southern regions. The outcomes confirmed investors’ strong interest in the region and the shared commitment of all parties to expand cooperation further.
The Secretariat of the Business and Investment Development Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Regional Investment Councils will continue efforts to create favorable conditions for business, promote public–private partnership mechanisms, and support sustainable regional initiatives.
