On October 29, 2025, a working meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Business Development and Investments Council under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the participation of representatives of government agencies and business associations – members of the Council.
The meeting aimed to discuss issues raised by the business community and to align approaches on key areas of public–private cooperation. In the course of the discussion, participants reviewed initiatives related to improving tax administration and the application of VAT to the provision and re-export of services, regulatory issues in the telecommunications sector, the introduction of extended producer responsibility mechanisms, as well as topics affecting the development of tourism and other sectors of the economy.
Representatives of government bodies presented their respective institutional positions, followed by an open exchange of views with business associations and experts. Particular attention was paid to finding balanced solutions that take into account business interests while ensuring regulatory stability and predictability for investors.
Participants emphasized the importance of maintaining a consistent working format at the Secretariat’s platform, which provides continuous communication between the public and private sectors and contributes to the preparation of well-coordinated proposals for further consideration by the Council.
Regular meetings of this kind make it possible to identify pressing issues in a timely manner, strengthen cooperation between public authorities and the business community, and develop practical recommendations aimed at improving the business environment and fostering mutual trust.
